Secondary Consumer
Following the definitions of both secondary and consumer, it follows that we have second feeder (consumer). An example of this would be something like a treecreeper (small bird). The secondary consumer is the organism that eats (consumes) the primary consumer in the food chain.
All the secondary school child could get himself to do was stare up at the small birds instead of studying.
NOTE:
A bird’s position in the food chain may vary. For instance when a robin (small bird) eats berries it is a primary consumer, but when it eats a caterpillar it’s a secondary consumer.
