All ionic compounds are salts (except oxides (metal + oxygen) and hydroxides (metal + hydrogen)).
E.g. copper chloride CuCl₂, zinc sulphate ZnSo₄ and calcium chloride CaCl₂.
All the salt (NaCl) shakers wear Einstein tee shirts with women attracted to him (ionic bond).
