$(ab)^n=a^nb^n$

To remember this: try simple numbers you know first

First part $(ab)^n$

Try $(2\times2)^2$

Is the same as $(4)^2$

And $4\times4$

$=16$

Second part $a^n\b^n$

Try $2^2\2^2$

Is the same as $(2\times2)\times(2\times2)$

$=(4)\times(4)$

$=4\times4$

$=16$

So yes $(ab)^n=a^nb^n$
