`(a/b)^n=(a^n/b^n)`
To remember this: try simple numbers you know first
First part `(a/b)^n`
Try `(4/2)^3`
`=(2)^3`
`=2\times2times2=8`
Second part `(a^n/b^n)`
Try `(4^3/2^3)`
`(4\times4\times4)/(2\times2\times2)`
`=64/8`
`=8`
So yes `(a/b)^n=(a^n/b^n)`
