Binary – The structure of a piece of music which is divided into two different sections

Binary music describes the structure of a piece of music which is divided into two different sections, commonly shown as A and B. The contrast in sound between these sections is often created by a key change. 

Examples of binary in a sentence

The song was binary as it only had a verse and a chorus.

I can't write complicated song structures, only binary ones.

Most nursery rhymes are binary in order to keep them simple.
