4.  Adjective – describes a noun or pronoun

Describe a jacket (adjective) as a baggy jacket, a formal jacket and an untidy jacket

Adjectives give you more information about nouns (and obviously therefore pronouns).

Everyone was told on their invitation to wear a jacket (adjective).

To help remember adjectives:

How would you describe the jacket?

Baggy jacket.

How would you describe the jacket?

Formal jacket.
