7. Preposition – a word that indicates position
Prepare your position (preposition) look in, under, over the lawbooks
Examples of prepositions include up, over, between, next to, in front of, through, in, on, under – and there are lots more.
Grandma went to lawyers who prepared her position (preposition) in court. (See grammar – nine parts of speech).
To remember that prepositions are up, over, between etc, see the following:
The lawyers looked “in” the law books (“in” is a preposition).
The lawyers even looked “under” the table for the right book (“under” is a preposition).
The lawyers even looked “over” book mounds for the right book (“over” is a preposition).
