Oxymoron – contradictory terms
Pronounced “ox-ee-moor-on”.
An oxymoron is a combination of words that have opposite or very different meanings.
The ox couldn’t carry any more on (oxymoron) the cart – it was overloaded with wire wool.
NOTE:
Wire wool is a classic oxymoron – wire and wool are contradictory terms.
