Henry Moore Art Project

To create your Henry Moore art project, you will need cardboard at least 4mm thick, scissors and glue.

Print out and use our template (or create your own) and cut out two of each shape, making sure you keep them in order.

Print out and use our template (or create your own) and cut out two of all the shapes, making sure you keep them in order.

Firstly, glue the pairs of shapes together. Then, using the number 1 pair as the base, glue each pair into its place on top of this in chronological (number) order.

Starting at the base, glue each of the shapes into place. Any excess can be cut off as you go.

Once you have built your sculpture, use a sharp scalpel and carefully shape and smooth any harsh edges and improve the shape.

Finish the sculpture off by using Papier-mâché.

Mix PVA glue and water to create your paste, rip newspaper into strips, and use the paste to stick them on.

You should only need one or two layers since the structure inside is solid. Once dry, carefully sand the structure down so the lines of the paper are less visible.
